"Canoeing can be so many things. It can be a means of transportation to get you out into the very wild wilderness areas with no motors. Canoeing can be extremely tranquil, very soothing. Canoeing can be a tremendous wild adventure that gives an adrenaline rush like any other, especially in whitewater rapids. But my greatest love is to go on long expeditions into the wilderness, in the Arctic or the yukon and just enjoy nature in a fairly non-evasive way."
