The Hellman Prospector is ideally suited for extended expeditions or Sunday afternoon family outings. It is similar to a traditional prospector except that it is longer, has sharper entry lines and has less upsweep on the bow and stern. This canoe is fast, handles large waves and rapids very well and can accommodate a large load with ease.

The Slocan is the perfect river tripping canoe. It's large load capacity of up to 1200 pounds gives you lots of free board even with a large load. With four inches of rocker the Slocan turns fast surfs well and is very dry in big waves. The Slocan also has lots of flare in the bow and stern ensuring a dry ride through big waves. The big surprise with the Slocan is it's light weight for such a tough white water boat, in Duralite it comes in at only 64 pounds.You will also be impressed by its speed which is about twice as fast as a royalex boat.All in all I think it is one of the best whitewater canoes on the market.

The Hellman Scout is the perfect solo canoe as well as being a responsive, compact tandem canoe. Designed to turn quickly and handle large waves, the Scout performs well as a river canoe. Its sharp entry lines and good tracking ability makie it versatile enough for lake canoeing as well. the shallow arc bottom and soft chine give it great secondary stability.

The Quetico 16 is great for the novice paddler, or solo paddler. The modern design of this canoe makes it totally unnecessary to have a keel. This canoe has very little rocker, quite a flat bottom and very little upsweep at the bow and stern. These features make the Quetico 16 a stable canoe that is able to track very well.

The Hellman Cruiser is a high volume tripping canoe built for packing large payloads. It is fast, stable and designed to hold up to 3 or 4 people plus gear. The dramatically flared deep bow allows it to smash through waves and remain dry. This is an excellent choice for long wilderness trips or for safe and accommodating family trips.

The Otter is an amazing play boat for intermediate and advanced paddlers. The Otter is very forgiving, making it a great boat to learn and advance in. It has a flat bottom and a very sharp chine that carries to within a foot of the ends which makes it great for carving and surfing. The Otter also has a great secondary stability. It can be leaned onto the side with confidence.

The Solitude is our most versatile solo canoe. Maneuverable and fast, it can handle grade 3 whitewater yet cruises along fine on flat water. This is an outstanding touring canoe and is a lot of fun to paddle.

The Voyageur is Hellman's Big Boat. This design was made famous by Norman Crerar and his team, who won the 1967 across Canada canoe race in it. We build the Voyageur using a foam core and epoxy resin. By utilizing high quality materials and expert workmanship we are able to achieve a stiff, strong and very lightweight boat. The boat tracks well, is very fast, stable, and can accommodate up to 10 paddlers. This canoe is great for team paddling or large families.
